Sitting high atop of Mill Mountain at an elevation of 1,740 feet above sea level, this star has been overlooking the Roanoke Valley since 1949.
    The first time I visited Mill Mountain and the Star of Roanoke, I went without my camera, and missed having these photos in my collection for almost 2 years. Why 2 years you ask? ... well it's funny how residents are sometimes the last ones to visit the tourist sites within their own area, and I'm no exception.
